A good life is beset with details - a good death is so simple.

OBJECT

Pick the Celebrities who will "pass-on" between this party and the next.
The player with the most "dead picks" by the next party, wins.

RULES OF PLAY

1.   Each Celebrity must be of global renown whose life and "passing" will be noted in the national press.  (The group will vote on the validity of any non-human entrants - such judging will be based solely on originality, entertainment value of the submission, and the sobriety of the group).

2.    The Celebrity can't be someone the Picker knows personally (thus eliminating any "insider information" and also any "vendetta picks").

3.   The Picker can't be responsible for the Celebrity's death.

4.   There will be only one "Group Pick" (unless we decide on a 2nd Group Pick later on when we care less about the rules).

5.   Credit will NOT be given for...

      - Picks who were 105 years or more old at the time of the initial party.

      - Picks who were already dead at the time of the initial party.

      - Picks who are unborn at the time of the initial party.
      - Picks who were "on your list" but you didn't actually pick them at the party.

TROPHY
The trophy will be awarded to the player with the most "dead picks" at the next party. In case of a tie, the player who has won the fewest times in the past will be declared winner.

The winner will receive possession (for one year) of the Highly-Coveted Sharpshooter Trophy.

The HIGHLY-COVETED SHARPSHOOTER TROPHY

This is a life-sized solid-gold figure (better than an Oscar!) of a sharpshooter wearing the official Hitlist cap and standing in direct aiming position, mounted on a marble pedestal.

There are, of course, some rules that go with winning the Highly-Coveted Sharpshooter Trophy.

1.    Someone has to take the Trophy home with them.  It can't stay here.
2.   The Trophy must be placed on public display in the winner's home (not hidden away in the attic or a desk drawer where it belongs).

3.   The Trophy must be dusted at least once a year.

4.   The Trophy must be brought to the next party (which implies that the winner gets an automatic invitation to the next party) so it can be coveted by everyone else, and be available for presentation at the party's awards ceremony.

5.   The winner is responsible for all applicable fees and taxes.
